I’ve been practicing these pieces for quite some time, and now I think it’s finally time to perform them.
I will take some time to prepare them as a recital, but here they are.
Bach: Invention No. 1 in C. BWV 772
This was the first invention I played, and at that time it took me about two months to learn it completely. I haven’t played this in 3 years, but I think I can manage to get it back in a couple of days.
Chopin: Nocturne C minor KK IVb, 8
This is a new piece, and I think I’ll spend some time learning it. I haven’t ever played and I recently listened to Jan Lisiecki’s interpretation. Remarkable.
According to Henle Verlag, this work has a difficulty level of 5, so I think it will be quite challenging but still achievable within a reasonable time.
Chopin: Waltz Op. 69 No. 2 in B minor
An old friend. I learned this piece during my second year of piano studies with my professor. It took me about six months to master , and I haven’t played it in four years, but I think I can bring it back within a few weeks.
Chopin: Nocturne Op 27. No. 2 in D♭
According to Henle Verlag, this work as a difficulty level of 6. I’ve been practicing this nocturne for almost a year. I’ve divided it in four sections, and I can play each one separately, but my biggest challenge is putting them together. It’s a difficulty I’m still working to overcome.
